This past Oktoberfest season was one of our
busiest and most successful to date! We played everything
from a back yard party, to a private Oktoberfest party at a
secluded north woods home, to a permanently docked ship just
south of Navy Pier. Plus, for the first time, we helped kick
off Friday's festivities at the La Crosse Oktoberfest! There
was a line waiting to get in already at 9:30 AM. By the time
we started, our tent was packed, and it only got busier as
our set went on. What an amazing Oktoberfest season! And
maybe best of all, most of next year's September and October
weekends are already full with repeat business from this
past Fall. Thank you to everyone who helped make this one of
the best Oktoberfest seasons yet!
To wrap up the year, just take a look at our packed December
schedule! I LOVE Christmas music, and for years have wanted
to expand my December calendar to have the opportunity to
showcase the wide variety of Holiday music that we play.
This year, our December schedule has grown in a very big
way! Highlights include our annual stop at the Pulaski Inn
in Cudahy, WI for the Wisconsin Polka Boosters annual
Christmas Dinner & Dance. Plus, I have several new stops,
including Old World Wisconsin for the “Home for the
Holidays” series; the Wauwatosa Holiday Market; and the
Carmel Christkindlmarkt, one of the largest Holiday markets
in the United States! And don’t forget to catch us in
between at the Old German Beer Hall in Milwaukee, the Essen
Haus in Madison, and at the La Crosse Bierhaus! For details

PINT SIZE POLKAS
But wait, there's more! Not only was Oktoberfest season
amazing, this past summer was one very nearly for the record
books. I broke the 140 show mark for only the third time
since starting my Pint Size Polkas program in 2009. I
visited libraries this summer as far west as Gallup, NM, to
as far east as Falls Church, VA. Thankfully, the shows went
so well, I already have nearly 80 shows booked for next
summer, including my first ever visit to the state of
California! My accordions - and golf clubs - will most
definitely be in tow! As always, if you'd like Pint Size
Polkas to visit your local library, please let your
children's librarian, library manager or director know.
There's no place in the lower 48 I won't consider traveling
