Greetings for the month of June
from my hotel room in Coralville, IA! Yes, the busy season
has begun, and I've already wrapped up programs in Marion
and Muscatine, IA, respectively, plus my first round of golf
for the season at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City! More
fun in Marengo and Ames awaits tomorrow, and then it's off
to Illinois and North Carolina next week for more Pint Size
Polkas fun. Mix in a stop at St. Thomas in Appleton this
Saturday for their Polka Mass and festival afterwards, and
it makes for a great start to the summer season! For details

thinking that you might be wondering where the heck my new
recording is, the one that I previewed awhile back on my
Facebook page for the Mike
Schneider Band. Not that I find any benefit in making
excuses, but our move in February and the lead up to it
definitely was a set back in the recording department. Once
we moved and got settled in (mostly), the push toward summer
was on. Before I can start recording again I need to get my
office soundproofed, which I hope to do upon my return home
in September. Once that's up, everything else is good to go
and I hope to make some good progress on it in the Fall and
Winter months and then hopefully set my sights on next
Spring. My fingers are crossed!

birthday to my Mom later this month. Be sure to wish her a
happy one the next time you see or talk to her! And a very
happy third birthday to our daughter. I cannot believe she's
three already. Unfortunately, I won't be able to spend it
with her as I'll be in NC, but we're looking forward to
celebrating in advance when I'm home this weekend. You can
hear her along with her brothers toward the beginning and
end of each of my Polka Parade shows. Be sure to tune in!
